As our forefathers before us, we plan on carrying the traditions into the future for our customers to enjoy the Caney Fork—whether Center Hill Lake or the Caney Fork River which flows into the tail waters of Center Hill Dam.
What Caney Fork Outdoors is All About
We’re a complete outdoor headquarters in middle Tennessee for all your outdoor needs in fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.
My grandpa started Big Rock Market in this spot, right across the street from a major state park here in Tennessee (Edgar Evins State Park). When my parents took it over they put outdoor and fishing gear into it, and continued to expand it over the years. My Pops, Joel, started Caney Fork Outdoors as part of Big Rock Market.
Besides our retail store, we have rentals available…not just canoes and kayaks, but cabins and campsites, too.
Our dream is to help everyone enjoy being outdoors as much as we do!
Caney Fork’s Waterpalooza
Come to our Waterpalooza Demofest on May 12, 2018 at the Caney Fork River store. We’ll show you just how much we love being outdoors with others!
This fun-filled, family-oriented annual event features on-water kayak clinics, clinics by fishing experts, famous Big Rock Market BBQ made by my brother-in-law, Brandon, games and a chance for folks to demo our kayaks on the river.
Caney Fork’s Community and Non-Profit Connections
We believe strongly in supporting the work of non-profits. Groups we’ve helped or given to are: Boy Scouts of America, Heroes on the Water, The Andrew Jackson Police Youth Camp, and Trout Unlimited Cumberland Chapter, to name a few.
One of our biggest events we do to give back to the community is Kayak Fishing For Blue. We host a kayak fishing tournament at our Nashville location. This fundraiser raises money to donate to The Andrew Jackson Police Youth Camp in memory of Officer Eric Mumaw.

We’re a family-owned and run business that offers anything from BBQ food to boat storage to cabin and kayak rentals to fly fishing and whitewater kayak classes.

Caney Fork and Bending Branches
We carry several of Bending Branches’ kayak paddles in our stores. Their best-selling paddle for us has always been the Angler Ace. It's an amazing product for the price!
