Have a look at the video below for a quick introduction to the Angler Classic, the best-selling kayak fishing paddle on the market:

The Angler Classic’s User-Friendly Shaft

Like all our paddles, the Angler Classic is hand-constructed at our headquarters in Osceola, Wisconsin. We begin with an ovalized fiberglass shaft that’s durable, warm on your hands and gives you a couple features you’ll love.

First, you have two ferrule options. The snap-button ferrule enables adjustable feathering angles of 0º or 60º. Or for just $25 more, you can choose the adjustable-length ferrule of the Angler Classic Versa-Lok.

There are two big advantages of an adjustable-length ferrule:
  • You have the option of lengthening or shortening your paddle by up to 15 cm. This is ideal if you have more than one boat, have an adjustable-height seat or if others will use this paddle, too.
  • Our Versa-Lok ferrule allows for infinite feathering angles, which comes in handy when you’re dealing with high winds.
Second, there’s a tape measure printed on the shaft (in inches) that makes it easy for you to prove to your buddies you didn’t exaggerate the size of your catch!

The Angler Classic’s Blades

Whichever ferrule model you choose, they both come with rugged fiberglass-reinforced nylon blades. That’s a mouthful that simply means they’ll get you where you want to go with ease! Their 102.5-square inch surface area catches the water to pull you along quickly and easily with powerful strokes, even with a fully-loaded boat.

One blade also features a built-in hook retrieval system for those times when your favorite lure ends up snagged in a tree or in the weeds. Your blade color options include Tidal Blue or Electric Green.

The Angler Classic’s Specs

The Angler Classic weighs in at 35.5 ounces for the snap-button model and 37 ounces for the Versa-Lok model. Heavier than our performance carbon-shaft paddles, but still light enough to keep you on the water all day without the fatigue you’ll get from cheap, clunky paddles.

The Angler Classic Versa-Lok is available in adjustable lengths of 240-255 cm, 250-265 cm or 260-275 cm.

If you go with the snap-button Angler Classic, it’s available in 240 cm, 250 cm, 260 cm, 270 cm and 280 cm.
