Mike was born and raised in southern FL where fishing was his main priority. It didn't matter if it was freshwater or in the salt, he was happiest while holding a fishing rod. Fast forward to now, Mike enjoys chasing black bass and striper in middle Tennessee's lakes and rivers. Introduced to kayak fishing in 2015, Mike was instantly "hooked" on his new found freedom and can't get enough of it. He fishes several kayak bass tournament trails as well as the Paralyzed Veterans of America Bass Tour. In addition to fishing, Mike runs a disabled kayaking enthusiasts group on Face Book where information regarding the sport for disabled paddlers is shared. He also hosts several clinics throughout the year where individuals with disabilities are introduced to the sport of kayaking whether it be for the first time or after a traumatic injury that has left them disabled.
