In the Navigator, Bending Branches has combined high-tech, ultra lightweight, T-700 carbon shaft material with a proven blade design made out of rich-looking black willow wood. The material combination provides unique flex and the unmatched fit and finish you expect from a Bending Branches paddle. Love, love, love this paddle!!!! I upgraded from my Whisper, which I loved, to this and the difference is amazing! I used this paddle on a 30 mile river run and I didn't suffer any arm or hand fatigue. Not only is it incredibly light, it is beautiful as well. I can't tell you how many comments and questions I get about my new paddle. My husband calls it my new boyfriend!

I bought my wife and I a pair of the BB Navigator paddles. http://www.bendingbranches.com/navigator They are phenomenal and well worth the tab. Sue has not used her's but I took mine out yesterday on a duck hunt and This paddle is a dream. quiet, light as a feather and absolutely gorgeous I won't be slapping khaki paint on this one let me tell you. I have some pics in my cell I'll try to add later. It got a pretty thorough test and came out with flying colors. IMO there is nothing tougher on a paddle than duck hunting and we go out in conditions that are marginal at best. This paddle responds best to a practiced controlled stroke and it encourages you to do just that. On my run in I was faced with a 1/2 mile of canal that was aligned dead into the wind That meant I had no choice but to gut through 1/2 mile into the teeth of 35 mile sustained winds and gusts of 45, progress was slow but as long as I maintained a good stroke it was made. when I tried to dig in and horse it i didn't gain anything and the paddle just dumped the extra energy with flutter. Thats what I mean when i said it encourages a measured proper stroke. Its handles were nice and warm and fatigue was definitely less than with my slice glass angler or my infusion.
