Andy was exposed to fishing in Hawaii from a young age with his family, he was taught how to fish many different methods of fishing by generations of fishermen. In 2008 he was introduced to kayak fishing, quickly adapting different methods of commercial boat fishing to work on the kayak his reputation of catching giants grew quickly. He currently holds the unassisted kayak records for Blue Marlin (225.5lbs), Yellowfin Tuna (141lbs), Amberjack (99.5lbs) and Albacore (52lbs). Currently he is riding for Ocean Kayaks on a trident 15. He is prostaff for Pure fishing, Penn fishing, Aquatecko , Aloha Army and Bending Branches.
